History
The Gilbert Farmers Market first opened in October 2010 with less than 30 vendors. Today the GFM features more than 100 vendors year-round.
Before 2020, the market offered seating for families and games, such as Jumbo Jenga, Jumbo Connect Four, and Cornhole. The market has adjusted with the times but it continues to be one of Gilbert’s most prominent community events.
Our mission from the beginning was to promote local sustainability, healthy eating, and green living practices in the Town of Gilbert and its surrounding areas. As well as educating the public about local food by allowing them to personally meet with the Farmers & other vendors in order to learn where their food comes from and how it’s made.
