History
The Gilbert Farmers Market (GFM) first opened in October 2010 with fewer than 30 vendors. Today, it proudly features more than 150 vendors year-round.
Originally located at the Park and Ride just west of the iconic Gilbert Water Tower in the Heritage District, the market thrived at that site for 15 years before relocating to the Chandler-Gilbert Community College campus in October 2025.
From the beginning, our mission has been to promote local sustainability, healthy eating, and green living practices throughout Gilbert, Chandler, and the surrounding communities. We are also committed to educating the public about local food by creating opportunities to meet farmers and vendors, learn where food comes from, and understand how it is made.
After 15 years in Downtown Gilbert, the GFM moved on October 4th, 2025 to Chandler-Gilbert Community College, which is only five miles south on Gilbert Rd.
Why did we move? The Park and Ride in Downtown Gilbert, which has been home to the GFM for so long, was scheduled for demolition at the end of 2025 to make way for the towns Heritage District Improvement Project, transforming downtown into a more pedestrian friendly destination.
Today the GFM hosts more than 150 vendors every Saturday year round and has been dubbed “The Foodie Market” for its incredible selection of global cuisine. Come hungry!
Please note that pets are not permitted on college campus.
